Delsen has acquired a TA Instruments Q800 DMA to serve industry needs.  This latest, state of the art instrument has broad capabilities for materials characterization.  The temperature range is -150C to 600C.  Among the new services we offer is determination of glass transition Tg by DMA.

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis measures force and deflection while varying temperatures and/or frequency.  The instrument calculates storage modulus, loss modulus and damping coefficient as a function of temperature.  From these curves, the glass transition temperature can be determined.
